Welcome, like Baba had said the twisting start of your dreads are fine, but never re-twist for maintenance. Happy Dreading.

Always, Hippie Love

Welcome. Twisting is fine to start. But it should never be done as maintenance. Retwisting causes a condition called traction alopecia, which leads directly to baldness.

When you started, did you do it yourself or go to a salon? If a salon, did they use any wax, creams, or gels?
