Brand New Dreads!
I just dreaded my hair last night... My elbows hate me but I think it's SOOO worth it! My friend kept telling me I needed wax, wax, wax...... The idea spooked me and I couldn't understand why, but then I found this site and all the truths about dread wax and it all fell into place... SO GLAD my gut steered me clear of that one!
I've always had the ability to feel vibes (something I think everyone can do, but so many of us are taught to shut it out that only a certain percentage of us actually listen) and the way this site and the people on it feel jus makes me happy :]
I'm excited to make new friends and learn and grow, just like my new dreads ^-^

They're only a day old and I LOVE the way they look already! I know I'll cherish them for as long as they're a part of me because they are an extension of me.
No, she doesn't have dreads. She wants them though, and I'm going to be the one helping her because left to her own devices she'll prolly wind up using some kind of products that'll hurt her in the long run. Even my minimal experience can be of some assistance in that way xD

And Rachel, I love this girl to death but she was sooo insistent it was actually ticking me off... then today I told her why I did them without wax and she was like "Well they would look better with wax, yadda yadda yadda" and I just kinda sighed and wandered away from the computer. I'll NEVER claim to know everythign about anything, but I know what feels right for me!
my first time getting dreads this girl kept bugging me telling me i needed wax,so annoying, lol. she actually ended up getting some, waxing them, then combing them out less than a week later.glad you went candle free!
