Welcome. The biggest problem with Lanolin is that it's pretty darn flammable. In fact, it burns at a lower temp than wool. So while your hair would normally just smolder, if coated with lanolin, it will have no problem bursting into flames if you get fire near it.
I'd be interested in a residue test, too. Since lanolin is a type of waxy substance. I'd assume it would leave residue. And it's use is also to waterproof things. Not something you normally want near your hair, let alone dreadlocks
