I have a dry scalp so I have some dandruff but it's going away because I use tea tree oil butI also have buildup on my scalp. It's super super gross to me. I HATE it. I've lloked up how to get rid of it but the some sites say to lightly condition and use less shampoo and hair product because that causes buildup, but I have dreads so none of that applies to me. I don;t know how to get rid of it. HELP!!

Oh yes, your scalp will love it if you finish off with a cold rinse on your scalp, as cold as you can take it

Forgot to say that you can use the BS wash & ACV rinse each and every wash if you want.

It's apple cider vinegar. How much baking soda to water are you using??

ACV rinse is apple cider vinegar. For a wonderful exfoliating wash for your scalp, use this no scrub method. Mix 1/2 cup baking soda (BS)to 5 cups water, pour on head and leave on for 10-20 minutes, then rinse well. Then mix 1-2 capfuls of apple cider vinegar (ACV) with 5 cups of water and pour on head, Rinse well after 1 minute. The ACV balances the PH on the scalp and conditions the hair, unless you have very oily hair, this should be used after the baking soda each time. You can even add essential oils into the baking soda wash mix:)

Peace

you shouldn't wash your hair with hot water.

You can wash with warm water, but the final rinse should be with cold water, you'll feel the difference

I wash ny hair twice a week. One time with baking soda and vinager and the other day with TSal it's suppose to help prevent build up. Also I sometimes spray a little tea tree oil mixed with water and vinegar on my scalp. I wash my hair in hot water too.
