I have a ton of loose hairs underneath some of may dreads and some are about an in and a half when I wear my hair up they stick out what can i do to fix that also where my hair isn't dreaded near the root it some of my dreads are thin I have pictures of a few like that and as they grow im wondering that they'll start falling out. I also posted some pictures of the loose hairs you can kinda see them.

loose hairs are normal, just do nothing to your hair apart from seperating and washing your hair and soon the loose hairs will join on to the nearest dread, or they will form their own dread. my advice is to just just leave your hair alone :)

Ok, looking at your profile again, I see that you used the crochet method. Do you interlock at all too? Crocheting is what is making your roots super super thin. It breaks hairs and over tightens your locks.

If you don't let them be for the next 6 months, at least, you will see them snap off there. What you need to do is throw out your crochet hook and get some jojoba oil. Massage it into your locks and get them to loosen up. Then just let them tangle back on their own.

Looking at the last pic you posted, I have to ask: did you palm roll? It looks like you either did that, or some other maintenance. Check out my video on palm rolling if that's the technique you used.

Once I know what you did, I'll have a better idea on how to help fix it.
As for now, just leave them alone. Don't root rub, don't palm roll, don't touch them until you respond to this.
