The roots of my dreads is just non dreaded hair. What should I do to make it start to dread. And I have some flat dreads in the back of my head what should i do to make them round if anything at all.

The ones in the back will round out in time. As they get squished in different directions they round out. There's no secret method that anyone uses to get round locks. It just happens. Some will stay flatter, some will be perfect cylinders. It;s just how they want to form.

As for the loose hair, let it be. Loose hair is what new growth uses to snag onto and tangle with. If you pull it into your lock, you will essentially be thinning out your roots and weakening your locks. Let that be. Either it will get sucked into a lock, or it will form a new one on its own. Just give it time. Locks are ever changing. New ones always pop up and loose hair is something even mature locks have to deal with.
