take outthe bands and embroidery thread it needs to look dishevled and messy theres no reason to 'put more dreads in' the rest will form all on thier own as these would have too all you need to dread is wash properly and dont comb and it dreads itself
I've been contemplating dreads for a long time, but am incredibly new to all of this. I'd like to put some more dreads in my head, but am definitely not trying to go back to the same girl. I could really use any help I can get- someone to look at these locks and give me some feedback, input, and advice would be much appreciated. There's some bands by the roots and embroidery floss wrapped loosely and starting to untie and come out- the whole mess is starting to look a little more disheveled than I feel it should.
you wanty to avoidall salons at all costs period im local to philly but 20 if they are all dreadedd will be rathewr fat thats thge minumum youwant
but now that u backcombed theres nothing to do except wash and waut
stay away fromm all salions
Thanks for the welcome! I had a friend backcomb somewhere close to 20 locks into my head, no wax or anything like that. She's not particularly experienced though- and neither am I, frankly, so I'd love to connect with someone local who A) knows what they're doing and B) can help me out along what I hope is gonna be a long healthy journey. I found a shop called Nnobi's Natural Nack in Philly via the Lazy Dreads International Directory, which looks promising... but I'd so much rather go through another dreadhead than feel out of place being the only white girl in a salon. I've done some searching on craigslist, but the only person offering their services only dreaded black hair.
