looping is how they dread

they will get wild kinky loopy zig zaggy and fun

most of them will suck in and straighten out later on sime might leave bumps or other texture features that make them unique

heres thre funny part

salons and sites plushinjg instant dreads look at loops and bumps as something that needs to be fixed..

in other words if they are actualy dreading properly on thier own ..loops being the 1st sigfn that they are indeed dreading on thier own then they ijntervein some crochet them in ..further delaying oprogress some cut them off then have to add fake hair to reinforce them some wax them down etc etc etc all counter productive

instead learn to love them enjoy the process your mkoving into the rebelios teen stage

ifyou had teen agers of your own this is when they come home with peircings tatoos biker boyfreinds twice thier age etcv etc when they get a lil wild

but its how they find themselves develop thier opersonalities and get the craziness out of thier systems that leads to maturity

maturity with the remnants of of a few tatoos that make them look back and laugh

the few loops that do leave a lasting feature you'll look back on in fondness

very good

you know how many african americans have told me "you cant give me advice your hairs diferent then ours we diont need to wash our hair more then 4 times a year' or something simular

and they always use tons of oils and greases but i know plenty of african americans that wash 2-3 times a week even daily and those that wash more often almost always say they dont need all that extra stuff

whats worse is salons and locticians that catorto african american "locs" often say not to wash or even wetthe hair at all for the 1st 6 months to a year! and then only wash when youmake an appointmewnt to wash and retwist

the salons that should be teaching good hair care are making people afraid to even wash thier own hair!

Thanks for the encouragement, Lauren! It's funny when I woke up this morning and looked at my hair I felt different. It's definitely a spiritual thing.

african hair tends to be extra dry thats why most dont wash often if u ordered the bars your fine the liquids got sea salt tio dry caucausian hair so it dreads faster aif your dreads get so dry they are brittle then yes use something but not regular conditioners jojoba oil or pure aloe straight from the plant but if u wash with the bar and often enough u shouldnt need anything mosat african american salons and locticians say dont weash or wet for the 1st 6 months ti a year thenhbonly wgen u get retwisted evcery few months andtyhgen they cake on gel or grease and loads of conditioners but with regular washings 1-3 times a week with a healthy natural shamooo u nay find u need lil to no conditioning maybe once mature ocasionaly just to make em softer and cuddlier

great to see more african americans that dont buy into the "our hair only needs to be washed every 2-6 months" crap weekly is a minumum for all hair types
