I said I would share how I am doing this with everyone so here it is.
I had a really hard time deciding if I should use a lower volume developer and bleach more times or a higher volume and bleach less. Not sure still if I went the right route but I went with a lower volume and am going to bleach more.
I used a 20 volume developer here. And as you can see my ends are still super dark (like red dark brown)but not black. It is going to take me a few more times. Hopefully only once for the upper hallf of my head and I have no idea about the ends...
The process was not fun. I have dyed dreads in the past but I guess I forgot what a pain it was. I had to use 4 times the normal amount to cover my head as well.
And the thing that sucked the most? I got really incredibly sick while bleaching. Like the only other time I can think of being so sick was when I had appendicitis as a teen. And I almost died from that. :/
So now I am really not wanting to bleach my hair again and not sure what I am going to do, although I probably will again. I was going to wait at least 2 weeks to bleach again anyway.. I THINK it was because I didn't have proper ventilation when bleaching but I am also worried it could have been some kind of allergic reaction as well... BUT I had no kind of skin reaction either.
I was shaking and trying not to get sick and super dizzy with blurring vision. It is over 24 hours later now and I am almost all better but still feel it a little. The shaking didn't last long but the dizzyness and feeling like I was going to be sick lasted for hours...

Thank you xoxox <3 Ohhh turquoise! I bet that looked pretty! That makes me wonder about going blue though... I really don't want green and considering my hair is stillkind of yellowit prob would be. :/ And yes better ventillation from now! Even though considering the second round still made me not feel good so I think the bleach is an issue to me. :/
Oh and I think oir dreads look very similar at the 4 month mark
Ugh I'm so sorry that happened. I bleached two of my dreads 2 weeks ago and dyed them with manic panic ' turquoise ' and a day later they just looked green I did that with 20 volume developer and just the two dreads took a lot of bleach. So last week I went and got 30 volume because I'm thinking about doing more but I'm not sure yet. I have weddings to go to this month and next so I'm waiting. Good luck sweetie, you always look fab! Hope you feel better and definitely have ventilation wherever you're doing the bleaching. Xx
