you started yours yourself with 2 strands? good
twistings a fine way to start retwisting and interlocking is what causes trouble
well how often do you wash and with what.
contrary to what they tell you, the more you wash the less it will dry out (if you use natural shampoos)
you shouldn't use anything. and shouldn't retwist
but if you do need moisture something like jojoba. argon, or pure aloe (food grade zero other ingredients only aloe)
are you washing at least weekly?

also..dont retwist! separate using the popping method not twisting
tightening the roots that way can cause balding
Why are my starter locs stiff? they arent completely stiff but they dont move when i move usually, I spray water on them and and only use Taliah Waajid "Oyl" and their locking gel
