Welcome to the community and to the first day of your journey. It will be a wonderful inner spiritual growth. The dreaducation section up at the top of the site has a wealth of information. Peace
Welcome to the community Renee. Glad you joined us here on the best site for all your healthy dread information. Your are a very artistic person and I bet dreads have been calling out to you for many years now, or you always loved them on others. Now it is your turn. I started my journey @ 49 and don't feel silly or foolish for not being younger. They were always meant to be a part of me, as yours are. The good thing is when starting them at our age is that no one makes comments to us at the messy stage we go through, we don't get comments like the younger ones on this site do.
I also started by twist & rip. May I suggest that you let your hair naturally separate into sections first, and then use those ones to do the t&R on. I have tips and what to expect info on my posting that I think will help you....Enjoy your journey, you will love what you will learn along the way....Feel free to ask me questions at any time......Peace
