I like so many others almost bought the infamous "Dread Kit". The thought of putting all that product in my hair kind of weirded me out so I started by sectioning, back combing, and palm rolling without all the wax, spray and powder that is available. I had a friend help and it still took two days. After that process I found this site and decided to stick with my intuitive feelings about all those fancy dread products and just let them do their thing. I also to SE's advice and stopped the palm rolling. I have a lot of really fine hair that is kind of wavy and easily tangles so I think the are progressing fairly well.I am know wondering if they will shrink and get fatter as they truly dread? I also wash them every 2, 3 days max. I feel that keeping them free of natural oil help them knot up more. Plus, it's hot as hell here in KY the sweat starts to pour as soon as you step outside....
