I really only used it regularly on some short baby locks and the roots of 2 others. I have to say that it did it's job well. Those baby lock are pretty tight now. The roots aren't, but I posted a video on why not to palm roll, so you can see what I mean. No gel will help those roots.
I don't know what it would do for an entire lock

i just got my lock gel in the mail yesterday and i was born in 1983 so i certainly no what slime is and it most certainly does have a similar texture but what i wanted to no is how did it work i mean did it help by knotting faster or is it just to keep them looking sleek by keeping the loose hairs in please let me no when u get a chance THANKS ahead of time
Interesting. Well, my locks are 5 years old. I don't need it on all of them, just 4 or 5 of the little babies in the video. But that idea sounds perfect for young locks
I also use it in my final rinse when I shampoo-16oz water bottle with about 1/2-2/3 teaspoon dissolved in. pour over my rinsed hair and leave it it. Seems to work well that way too. So far I like it, used 2 weeks.
