welcome but wax is a dread killer its the number 1 cai=use of dreads being cut its a disaster its gross it must be removed in fact if your under a month in the best thing to do is comb it out scrub with dawn dish spoap multiple times using the hottest water u can safely stand without burning yoiurself

repeat that many times past the point of believing theres no wax left

ots evil stuff thats almost impossin=ble to get out

once the wax is gone theres no need to backcomb palom rollor do anything it will dread itself

dont let the guy near u that put wax in your hair! tell him how bad wax is have him join too so we can save his dreads

Welcome. How long/often did you use wax? Because of it's hydrophodic quality, it will never wash out with normal soap and water. It needs a detergent. If you only used it once or twice, it can be cleaned out in a 2-3 times a week wash for about a month. The more wax that is built up, the harder it will be to get out.

Definitely stop retwisting. That will only cause baldness over time.

A few pics would help a lot

wow 3 years of twisting and wax buildup thats rough the wax is going to be really hard to remove unless the dreadsare pretty thin but twisting thins them alot too you still got to do alot of wax removal

post close up detaild pics of the scalp plz too depending on how often they were twisted we may need to do alot more to save em and stimulate regrowth
