Glad you found this site to learn all you can to grow healthy, beautiful life lasting dreadlocks...Here is you water type so you can learn if you have hard or soft water. With soft, any dread shampoo or bar can be used, but with hard water, many of those ones will not rinse out properly. www.dreadlockshampoo.com has fantastic locking up liquid shampoo that works in all types.....peace
Welcome to the community Jimmy. So you may be thinking about having dreadlocks, you sure came to the right site to learn all about them the healthy way. The dreaducation section at the top of the site is a great place to start. Do all the reading you can, look at members timelines to see pics of different stages and ask questions, none are silly. We all help out each other here.
The neglect/free form method is the best, then twist & rip, then back combing. Any of these can be done with no products added like wax or gels (which are not good to have in them).
