i braided my hair alot so im guessing they got use to sticking together and plus my hair is very dry so it knots up alot so it felt like dreads would be the best way to go im very happy with how they are coming out thank you for the help and the compliment

dontever do anything to the roots they are suposed to be that way they will get looser b4 thry get tighter
u need that movement room
it takes manty months for the roots to tighten but they have totighten on theyre own or u weaken the roots
