though from your profile picture it doesnt look like youd have much of a recovery  to worry about

its confusing why anyone would suggest those methods on your hair type (well interlockingsused almost exclusively on your hair type wich has resulted in an epidemic of traction alopecia

welcome but both interlocking and crochet are in the top 5 worse things you can do to dreads!

interlocking being 2nd worse crochet probably 3rd

crochet recovery from 1 use can take over 3 years if tight

the damage from both are permenant the risks from interlocking are permenant (except the balding ..only the weak snap points are)

i know you hate hearing this when just starting out but as long as you dont use these methods again they will be fine (worse thing that might happen is someday a tip breaks off where it was interlocked)

long term crochet use can be very devestating
