the roots never should be any tighyer then they want to be naturally u put tension on theroots they stop growing it pulls the hair right out then they refuse to grow back

u seperate by pulling them away from eachother never by twisting
the scalp sghould never show
was wax used?
this is what retwisting leads to well maintained means total destruction
