Swedish Death Metal vs Norwegian Black Metal

This rivalry started in the early 90s. (it's probably still going on, I don't know) I want to know who you think was more influential, who had a better reason for making a new brand of Metal, who has better music, etc.I think the Swedish bands did it better IMO. Probably because I have a long history of listening to Scandinavian Death Metal. Also, look at how many bands they influenced. Not only Melodic Death Metal bands like Gardenian and Scar Symmetry. But, other bands in other genres like Shadows Fall, Killswitch Engage, and As I Lay Dying. I think their view on Metal is more light-hearted than the Norwegian Black Metal point of view. The Swedes just wanted to drink beer and play Death Metal. The Norwegians were all like METULL IST SERIOUS FUCKING BUSINESS. I love old Black Metal as much as the next guy, but Swedish Death Metal wins by just a little bit.
