palm rolling is only temporary at best & best when done with products (which most are crap) & can be harmful & damaging. if you watch babas video on palmrolling he shows how it breaks the hairs at the roots & the damage isn't noticeable until they grow out more. they will round out & tighten on their own given time, you don't have to mess with them.

welcome but gotta warn u crochets extremely bad for dreads it just does extreme damage and delays progress by like 6 months or longer

whats really a shame is u had such amazing hair for natural dreads!

i would throw that hook away right away

Welcome. But crocheting is the most damaging thing you can do to dreadlocks. It breaks hairs all over the place and weakens your locks. One session takes up to 6 months to recovery. It makes more frizziness which makes you need more crocheting to fix it.

If you leave them alone, they will fix themselves. But the more you crochet, the more damage is done. Eventually they can snap off in places and even at the root making a bald spot.

The most important thing ot know about locks is to NEVER do maintenance on the roots.
