Talk to Eagle for better info about who in christianity had locks. I know a lot of other religions did too. But a Catholic school may not care. But you can always use it. The Irish have been known to have locks. Ancient Egyptians, Hindus, Buddhists. Locks have ranged from one end of the world to the other, spanning continents.
Is it written directly into their dress code "No dreadlocks"? If not, then they really can't force anything.
Most school dress codes just say "no distracting hairstyles". Dreadlocks aren't distracting. In fact, if you tell them that they are spiritual and give them evidence that people in the bible wore dreadlocks ie. Sampson, they may reconsider their stance.
Look into the spirituality forums and find some posts about different groups that rocked locks in biblical times
