It's been 2 weeks since I began this phase of my life's journey. My hair went crazy after the 4th washing, got real puffy on top and curly. I spent hours trying to separate the sections as the bottom half of my head was trying to become one big mat. Afterward, I crocheted short chains of wool and put 1" wraps on each strand at the roots, I put them in just snug enough to not fall out, but able to be moved easily and took them out after 24 hours. Not wanting to slow anything down, but it seemed a bit more chaotic then necessary.
I am expecting my first bottle of shampoo and salt spray from dreadlockshampoo.com any day, can't wait to try them out.
yes shes quick and yes they are amazing..in the dread products section of the forums post a review if you want
I got them yesterday. Both the shampoo and the salt spray are awesome! They smell amazing, my hair feels cleaner than it did using dawn, was easier to separate and feels soft.
I'm assuming that I still had residue left in my hair from before I started my dreads, because my hair seems to be drying faster than it has been.
I definitely recommend dreadlockshampoo.com to anyone who's looking for great products for their hair.
Thanks @Soaring-Eagle for telling me about this!
I ordered them them night before last and received an email that they shipped yesterday, that is very quick.
you will get them fast she ships very fast
embrace the chaos that's how they dread just keep them separated so they don't matt up
separate after washing while wet or damp..makes it a lot easier
