Did you know that you should not retwist at all, they will never turn into mature dreads as long as you do so. Those sections are not real dreads at all but the blueprint to mature dreads. They will loosen & some may fall out, but that is the process. They loosen because they will need to loop & zig zag to become thicker, creating knots & shrinking, that is how a dread will lock up. So, as long as you keep retwisting, you will keep putting your sections back to square one. They will always be super frizzy if you keep doing that too.The frizzies will go away if you just have patience. We all get them with T&R, but it lasts only about a month, then tames down, but that is without messing around with them.
You also do not need to put gel in your dreads, no products are needed at all, they will just leave a build up inside those sections.
Mohawk dreads are wicked by the way, especially as they get longer and longer. Have patience my friend and know, yes know, that if you let them be, they will lock up tight. All you need to do is keep them clean, wash 2-3 times a week in the beginning, and to separate any sections that are trying to join together. That's it, easy huh. Now what are you going to do with your spare time???.....Peace
welcome twisting wont work in your hair type but retwisting every few days will have you bald in a month
