For neglect you have to have a lot of patience. It's not gonna take years to form like some sites suggest, but you won't get the instant gratification of dreads like with other methods. If you have some sections formed already, you can twist and rip them(there's a up in the Dreading Methods link). But if you have the patience for neglect then I will totally advice you do that
