Hello!! New to the site :) Have some questionnss
I just started my dreads, I'm Caucasian with thick brown hair.I've been doing it in sections, my hands get ridiculously tired :/ gotta take a break. I've been using the twist and rip method.
but my question is: is it better to leave them down, leave them in a pony tail, or a messy bun - or does it matter?
When I get my whole head done I'll put a picture up But I'm so excited about dreading my hair, I can't wait to see how they turn out.
And you would recommend using this from the start? (obviously switching to the bar once my dreads start to lock)
www.dreadlockshampoo.com is awesome
thats what i use
liquids best starting out
What non-residue shampoo do you suggest @soaring eagle?
correct a nin residue dread shampoo too and no towel drying
No conditioner, correct?
wash a couple times a weelk scrub the scalp and rinse or use the baking soda acv no touch method
and yea having less controls the point letting nature form them organicly
its a beautiful process
I'm not looking for uniformity but you have less control over how the dreads shape. When it comes to doing it naturally, how do you go about washing?
Very good point @soaring eagle.
i think its less of a shock when its gradual instead of transforming overnight
Thank you for your suggestion @soaring eagle. I did 2 rows on the bottom of my head just to get it started, still trying to figure this out. I figure it'll be less of shock for my family and friends.
