You should be fine, I mean mine aren't flat with the exception of one or two. And I sleep on the back of my head as well and that dreaded up a lot faster than the rest of my hair. Like, while the back looked like dreads the sides still had the whole curly thing going on lol. I'm excited to see how yours turn out though.

Yeah man, I'm looking at your new picture and you should definatley go natural, you will have dreads in no time. Yours are even a lot longer than mine when I started.

Yeah, I went natural all the way except for one or two that I tried to twist and rip but didnt work out too well lol. Within a month of going natural though since my hair is so curly I had decently knotted up hair that some people would call dreads, and now being almost 4 months old I actually do have dreads and all I need is time to let em grow. If you do go natural though just give it time. there were plenty of times I wanted to comb them out and crochet them to look like dreads immediately but as of now i'm pretty content with them. And to get them locked up even faster I washed my hair constantly and knotted it up a lot. I will take new pictures in a few days so you can see how they are now.
