Welcome. Check out the dreaducation page first. Then take a look through the timeline forums to see what the first weeks/months look like

okay Aaron, so I was chatting with you and will leave you this info:

1/2 cup baking soda to 5 cups water...pour over head...no scrubbing needed...rinse off after 10-20 minutes, this is your shampoo.

1 capful Apple Cider Vinegar to 5 cups water...pour over head and rinse right away or within one minute...this is your conditioner...it will also balance the hairs PH from using the baking soda. Unless you have very oily hair, this must be used after each baking soda wash or you can start frying your hair out. I kinda had this happen to me as I did not always use it and it took awhile to restore my hair back to the normal softness.

Purchase the towel of your hair colour, you have blue towels, but try to get one like your hair, even if you have to go to a thrift store to get one. Once your hair is turning into dreads, it is hard to pick out the towel lint. You are okay for now though just starting out.

You have long hair, be prepared for shrinkage, mine started at almost waist length and they went up to my neckline within a year. But within 3 years they should magically become long again. :) Oh yes, we all get mature dreads in different times, for some it takes only one year and others two years. Your natural journey will be uniquely yours.

Any other questions, please feel free to ask me or post it on this site or ask on chat.....Have fun with your journey.

Welcome. I'm not sure what "tweezer looping" is. But it sounds like it's somewhere in the middle of interlocking and latch hooking. Both of which are EXTREMELY damaging to your locks. Can you see your scalp in between your sections? If so, that is a problem. But we can help you out with any questions you've got. I can't wait to see pics
