Hi Isai, this is the proper ratio you want to use for the BS wash & ACV rinse: http://www.dreadlockssite.com/forum/topics/ratios-baking-soda-wash-apple-cider-vinegar-rinse-sea-salt-mix

If the ratios are off, it could affect your scalp.....peace

Welcome. Neglect is the healthiest method. Plus you will only see forward progress instead of 1 step forward 2 steps back like you see with back combing and TnR. Check out the dreaducation page if you haven't see it yet. Then the Timeline forums

Hey Hey, welcome to the site.... you will find it a wealth of knowledge and inspiration, i swear i can sit and look at the pics for ages! i started my dreads off with backcombing them... i know some peopledon'tlike that method but hey i found it worked..... i was able to have a bit of control over the size etc..... they pretty much all fell straight back out again but i just gave them time and they did their own thing,,,,, apart from making sure they don't all join together to make a super dread ihaven'tdone anything to them... oh apart from washing them make sure you get a non residual shampoo or some such thing.... again heaps on here about that, i personally use Dr Bronners liquid soap mixed with water... works good as.

one more thing you can do is to take up surfing the salt water has a nice way of making your head feel good and the dreads do their thing plus if people know you surf they tend to just accept to doo (ha ha)

Good luck and as i have seen written here many times you need to grow the dreads in your soul first then your hair just follows along for the ride!!!

Peace!

Brett

start with the dreaducation page the natural way is by far the best way

look around at the timlines and if u see pics u like u can check their profiles to see what methods were used

but dont be fooled by looks the "tidy" salon dreads type are extreme,y damaged and dont last long and are a total disaster

Welcome. Check out the dreaducation page, and the timeline forums. You might find someone with similar hair type as yours. That way you'll have an idea of what to look forward to in the next months and years
