nah you don't want to use rubber bands bruh, those cause longtime breakage and damage and end up getting sucked into the hair when left in and eventually begin to rot in the hair. you're not feelin all that right? good. then you don't wanna do that. Freeform means you are willing to let you hair look "suspect" somedays and don't expect immediate progress. It takes time but luckily with your afro-textured hair it locks faster naturally than other hair types just by genetics. You gotta give it time. All you need to do is wash. Besides, you don't want them to look "manufactured" and uniform right? that's commonplace. Have you ever seen an older african-american in public will receding hairlines with dreads? It's because of poor methods and usage of rubber bands and wax and shitty stuff like that. Just let Jah work the process for you. You'll be fine man.

I see you're doing freeform, cool stuff. Leave the towel out of it, it will reverse progress. Just wash and separate as desired. Peace
