Brushing Out With Help of My Mom
'So my mom helped me with two more fatties. I think I can make 4 new ones from one and 3 new ones from the other. The knots were so tight, felt like beads in there. I lost a few clumps of hair but hopefully I can recover.

I will wash and tnr tomorrow. I have two or three more to brush out. Now I see how huge those were. Too bad. I feel sad cuz I was 12 weeks in and my roots were dreading already. Took a few hours to get two dreads out! I don't know how those knots got in there.

Yesterday my mom came to help me comb out my dreads. We got two in a few hours! Anyway, I re-dreaded them to reduce the size and Ihave 6 more dreads than I did yesterday. Now I was praying this morning, and as I was talking to God about my hair, I got this epiphany:
All my life I have put a lot of time into things and then because I invested so much time or energy, I just settled for years doing what I didn't want to do because I didnt want to waste the time I had invested.
In this case, my hair began to dread very quickly and although I was only 3 months in, I really didn't want to start from scratch again, but this time I realized, (with all of your help) that in the long term, if I didn't comb them out and re-dread them so they were smaller, I would end up being extremely unhappy with my dreads and unable to swim and wash them often . . . so I learned something. I love when God talks to me!
lol. If they were progressing that fast, it'll take no time for your new smaller locks to start forming
they will dread back up fast
