Hey lovely! Thanks for reading my post ^_^ Your dreadies will be fine! It takes a long time for the scalp to heal, and the hairs to return to normal. Just give it time and patients and forget that they are there hehe. Best of luck, and River is beautiful!!!!
I don't know if anyone ever answered you question about washing...here's what I do, I take an old shampoo bottle (cleaned thoroughly) and fill it 1/4 of the way with baking soda (akabicarbonate) then I add 10-20 drops of tea tree oil and 20-30 drops of rosemary oil (both essential oil) and then I fill the bottle with warm water and shake. It will bubble slightly, make sure to release the pressure! Wet my hair with hot water (because it feels good after 3-4 days without washing) and pour over my head. Let it soak for 10-30 minutes. Then I follow with an apple cider vinegar rinse (I use the same bottle rinse thoroughly and fill 1/2 acv and 1/2 water) I only let it set for 10-30 seconds then rinse with COLD water. The BS and ACV work together to regulate the ph of your scalp which is what helps with flakes and itch. I got all of this directly from SE. If you click on the dreaducation link, then the dread maintenance, then washing dreads, there is an entire post with the recipe and others Hope I helped... good luck everyone deserves a happy scalp!!!
