Welcome. Crocheting once will not destroy your locks. It does a huge amount of damage, but like Adam said, all's not lost. If you stop crocheting and give them sufficient time to recover, they will be ok. They will be frizzy for a while, because crocheting rips hairs to shreds making them frizzier. But those hairs will get sucked into your locks and look cleaner in due time

Such a shame that you went at your hair with those damaging instruments. However, all is not lost. Give your hair time to recover and you should have a healthy set of locks. Wash regularly and separate. That is it. Welcome to the community!

welcome but why would u do that instead of going full natural the crochet was a huge mistake crochet causes severe damage and delays progress by 6 months

you should never let a crochet hook touch your hair
