dude the bands have to come off and no the wax is still in there it never comes out without extreme effort do the wax removal take the bands out the onlyt thing that will help is surfing the rest is huertring you
using wax 1 time can survive 10 years of washings and trying to get it out ecven boiling
u totaly can comb em out even if they were 5 years old cause they only look dreaded the wax is holding them togerher while preventing any dreaduing
the bands shoukld have been out the day u started them they must come out right away
and the wax..thats why they arent dreading
if u start over they will be forther along in 1 week then they are at a month waxy
wax dreads have been oproven to not dread even afyter 5 years!!!
the wax must come out..completely u gotta make sure theres no chance theres any itn there at all
once the wax..and rubber bands are gone..just surf and let it dread
but they must be free to move..no wax..no bands just wind waves salt water thats all
well u do not want the gel thats for african hair only u do not want the wazx that must totaly be removed otr they will never dread
the roots will be 2-3 inches straight hair for the next 8 months just ignore it do not ever try to do anything to the roots'
loose hair alsio..normal..ignore it it will get better with time
but u neeeeeeeeed to get all that crap out of them especialy the wax in fact wax is so evil so hard to remove your best bet is to comb them out wait a week then do twist and rip again

good and read all the info in the dread wax trurth and dread wax removal pages wiork on getting the wax out then they will dread..

either way take out the rubber bands and do wax removal they will never dread right as long as wax is in them
