I was gothic back in the day. I still have some tendencies. But I was always a hippie underneath.
In High school, I was the only person in my whole school who wore all black, black eyeliner and nail polish, wore spikes and chains, and a leather trench coat (That I still have and wear regularly. It's something I will pass down to one of my kids). I carried an umbrella outside for gym so wasn't in direct sunlight.
It wasn't a show. I really dressed for how I felt inside. But I would never hurt a fly. I was always a hippy deep down. By my senior year, everyone understood that. I still scared all of the freshmen by how I looked, and every teacher and classmate had to reassure them that I was harmless. it was funny.

that's why my friends told me I made a bad goth...to just go back to being a hippie.
That's badass. But the smile takes away from the Gothic attitude. You've gotta have the Wednesday Addams expression... none
