yes i knew that about you when you joined, it amazes me that even people like you who dread for the highest of reasonings get taken in by these harmful methods.
i am most grateful that when i first started to dread way back in the 80s i asked an old rasta friend about dreads and he simply said 'just throw away the comb'
I don't know why these days dreadings become so complicated that they have 'locticians' which implies requires a technical degree in hair tangleology
since birth your hairs tried to dread and you did all you could to prevent that.. simply refraining from preventing it from dreading will result in it dreading
why that simple truth is lost.. can only be attributed to greed
people wanting to profit from the popularity of dreadlocks
newly converted rastas are most at risk as they believe to be rasta you have to have dreads so they make dreads using wax, and crochet hooks and all sorts of methods that force the hair to dread
'to be a rasta you don't have to have dreads.. dreads are just the result of living the rasta way of life
