Welcome. But you can't really "get" locks. They grow and mature over time. It takes about a full year to grow mature locks.

Any techniques used to create instalocks only destroys your hair, or prevents locks from even maturing. How are you thinking about having them done? Hopefully not going to a salon. Salons are notorious for destroying locks. The just aren't taught how to grow healthy dreadlocks in beauty school. Most loctitians and stylists use a combination of wax/creams/gels, interlocking, crocheting, palm rolling, or felting. All of these methods only do harm to locks. If done this way, you will only have an immature set of dreadlocks for a handful of years, at most.
