Thanks for the warm welcome guys! My picture is from the day I finished putting them all in, so I'm much messier now! Barrellady & Baba Fats, yeah I know about the salt. I spray my dreads in the mornings when I know I'm planning on washing them later. In fairness to my hair, I doubt even swimming in the sea and then not washing it after could do more damage to my hair. I have the finest most easily damaged hair I have ever seen on anyone. Which is part of why I wanted dreads, sick of hair that I can't do anything with!
When using the sea salt, make sure to wash it out by two hours or it will start to dry out your hair, and that takes months to repair if it happens. Enjoy the ride you will have for the next few months, it really is a blast...peace
Welcome to the community Rajuli and to the best site on the web to learn all about growing healthy dreadlocks. If you ever have questions before you being, please ask, we are all here to help you. Lovely photo, you look so at peace.
Below is a map so you can see if you have hard or soft water. With soft water, any dread shampoo or bar will work, but with hard water, many of those same ones will not rinse out properly and slowly leave a residue build up. If you have hard water, we can help you out....peace
