Glad to hear you doing so well with your ear plug, i'm still thinking what way to have this done as you can have the hole just punched out in 1 go! I already have 2 holes in that ear as piercings and 1 get infected now and then, so getting the whole lot punched out would take care of the problem - I hope

Neglect is healthiest, but not everyone is ready to drop everything and let nature take it's course. For them, I'd recommend TnR. It's gentle and won't destroy your hair.
