I think I might of caused a lot of my looping by wearing them all tied up. Oh well. They're looping like crazy now and I got tired of trying to control it so here I am. I'm surprised you didn't have more since you lost so much length, that's crazy. I'd just be guessing but I'd imagine you won't lose any more length. If your hair grows the average 1/2-1" month it's probably going to take another 12-18 months to get back down to your ribs??? Your dreads look awesome right now though so I hope you're enjoying the process!
welcome croc het was a very bad idea crochets extremely damaging and delays progress by 6 months or more throew the hook away and join the crochet recovery group
ps rastas wouyld never backcomb or crochet rastas would only ever dread by neglect

Welcome! Are you having any looping yet? I started with waist length hair too. Tons of loops at 6 mo. I'm interested to see how much more yours shrink up having done backcomb. I did mostly tnr. Mine are about as long as yours are in your pictures.
