crochet keeps the neat look at the expense of severe damage and constantly repairing the damage it causes you can end up "fixing" them 16 hours a week every week for ever .. me i dont do anything but wash mine

crochet does weaken them especialy if you keep crochetingalternative to what? you dont need to do a thing to dread so no u dont need to finer roll or do anything4 weeks? i would have told her to ..well i wont say what i would have told her to do...(kids might see it) that should have been your 1st clue not to let her mess with your hair!dreads dread best when cleanwarning when u stop crochet all the damage crochet caused will make em extra fuzzy so u will be temptede to crochet to fix it...dont or your just adding to the problem..just leave em alone and wash and in time the fuzziness will go away as they really start to dread

ah i was afraid youd say crochet.. crochet is a terible way to dread but its ok you'll recover as long as u never use crochet again..just wash your dreadssee any salon that recomends crochet dont know anything about dreadshow long did they say to not wash? some salons say dont wash for even a year!!!!!!!!! they want u to get tired of dreads and become slaves to the salons again..dreads should be washed anytime u feel dirty or itchy
