I think I have 2 pics of it on here. There was a guy on a kayak who followed the whole group and got some nice pics.
I would do it again in a heartbeat. I don't know if I'd be as excited about anything less than class 4 rapids, though. If I got into kayaking I'd have to start with gentler water.
Most places that do white water rafting, at least around here, have between 3 and 10 people per raft. And they have a guide who tells you when to paddle and how to paddle. Because of how rapid the Yough is (it's a world renowned river), we had 3 people and the guide in our raft. I wouldn't want to be in a raft with more than 4 people ever. Too many variables.
Would you do it again? I think i'd try it if I could, i'd be useless at it though and laughing/screaming the whole way through. Sounds fun. Did you get any pictures?
The Upper Youghiogheny river in West Virginia. It's all class 4/5 rapids. That was actually my first time doing it
Wow! Where did you do that? Nepal is supposed to be good for it. I've never done anything quite so adventurous as that! I can't canoe or kayak actually, I think there's quite some skill involved : ) I just went a couple of times with some friends
Beautiful. I would love to learn to canoe and kayak. I've only ever been white water rafting
In Jena, east Germany (where I live) It's really nice in the summer... Freezing now though!
Where's this at?
