Ahhh its been 5 weeks and 3 days since I started my dreadlock journey.

Thanks to my hair being super short, I can't really tell if my hair is progressing or not :/

I have naturally curly hair(50% Japanese 50% Black), but thin, fine, and dry naturally... But I have oily scalp lol. I have the weirdest hair!

I'll say 40% have came undone(tnr method), but I'm fine with that. I will not be re twisting or tnr my hair. Just letting the nature do its thing :)

I don't know how fast my hair will dread tho...

Since I have curly and dry hair I'm think it'll dread pretty fast.

But on the other hand, my scalp is oily, and my hair is fine, and thin.

Well, we shall see!

It's so interesting to see the progress tho... My hair looks nothing like what I had started with(comb twist... Which wasn't a great method for me).

Anyways, I'll be updating at 2 months :)

Ok I think I failed on putting the links on lol. Sorry!!

I definitely don't braid my hair, nor twisting. My hair can't handle those stress.

My hair has been very thin like this for a loooooong time. As long as I can remember. I blame my mother for that(aggressive brushing when wet for Long time since I was a kid). I think that really ruined my hair and caused it to be thin...

I haven't done much but washing it every 3 days or 2.

had you been twisting or wore braids b4 this? tio me it looks like the thinness is from that  so the gentler u are from here on the better so the hair can thicken up again..definately dont want to be twisting or trying toi tighten the roots artificially

on the matter of length  your hair probly will dread semi short..thickening some will help

Thanks for the comment, SE :)

I will put on a pic asap, but how do I embed pictures on blogs/discussions?

My hair was 2.5in when I started. I think its about 3 inches now.

It's great to know that it'll start knowing up more after few months.

how short is your hair? you do have an odd con[]mbo but  it will dread fine 5 weeks is nothingtho  most loosen up  or evebn fall apart the 1st couple months then dread right back up  between 4 and 6  months

a picture would help  give a better idea tho
