but when dreads dread they get all bound up in knots tightly and they shrink so theres no spaces bew=tween hairs…"

"beanies are too tight. You want something loose that you can fit all your hair in with room to spare. That way they are out of your way, but also move around and still get tangled and can knot up.

You want to use a light moisturizer.to keep your parts you'll want to twist and rip the ones that become undone (or put rubber bands on them not to snug though they should be able to move freely).
