Im a 28yr old Irish girl who had a prejudice against white people with dreads so i got dreads. unfortunatly i arrived at this site a few days after getting my hair torn apart by a very cool friend with a crochet hook.
How long have you been dreading?
i got my dreads made about 7months ago

no maintenance at the mo only washing and pulling apart congos :)

omg you are so adorable !! everyone has to go thru all the weird phases of the dread process. I know that crocheting in the beginning has really worried you. but relax what was done was done can't change it. no need to worry over the past ....look forward to the future. your dreads really look good. the texture will change over time. Just let em do their thing :) and enjoy them.

Same situation here. Found this forum only few days after done crochet'ing :( but I suppose this is right for me (look around to see if SE is watching..) because I need the neatness for my working environment. I'm leaving it to heal itself now.

exactly its not a shampoo tho no lather no scrubbing just soak and it removes all the dirt theres a baking soda wash fans group

crochet is a terible way to dread so what u wanna do is...not maintain! let them heal asnd naturalize..
do nothing at all but wash
