- Dreading methods, maintenance, and products used (if you currently have dreads)
- All natural. Freeform all the way. An herbal rinse of rosemary,sage and spearmint. In the beginning,which was all the way back in '98 I used a tiny bit of knottyboy dreadwax. But I only used it once. Once is enough to realize that I made a mistake. Please don't use wax!

Hello Everyone,
I took some time out to make a couple of videos apologizing to a beautiful soul that I wanted to say sorry for saying hurt things,and trying to control what decisions this person was making for that person's life path. Today marks the 15th year of the journey into being a freeform dreadie. I still believe that I will have my locks for as long as I live. I have noticed that I still get the dirty looks and outright rude comments. It all just makes me stronger because the people who act in this manner still have many areas of their life that they are unhappy with and instead of focusing on better themselves they have distractions to keep them from growing to be a better soul on this planet.

When I was a little girl in this big world I didn't believe everything my parents or other grown-ups told me.
My mom told me I had the type of hair that just doesn't grow. And praised my brother for his thick coarse hair and how much faster his hair grew than mine and how much longer his hair was as compared to mine.

Today I celebrate my 14yr. freeform dreadlocks anniversary. In 1998 I began my journey into becoming more of my natural self by leaving the combs, brushes,commercial shampoos,etc... behind me. I have learned quite a bit about my hair that I was not aware of. Mainly that I don't need to do anything but keep them clean and they will form all on their own.

Ethon O'Brien said… yeah i know what you mean, i use almost all of those. except for the peppermint. the rosemary and sage i use with the baking soda wash along with alot of the other more pungent smelling herbs like marjoram, savory, parsley, and a few others i cant name off the top of my head haha. i use the green and spearmint tea along with the vinegar so that the sweeter smelling ones are the last ones in there. feels amazing on the scalp
