Homeschooling mum of 4 living children and 3 angels. Coordinator of Charity supporting parents whose baby has died in pregnancy, at birth or shortly after. Got my dreads about 3 months ago. Unsure about all the lumps and bumps.

backcombing - did use wax but haven't for about 2 months. Use baking soda to wash them.

well its a good thing you found this site. I have been so blessed by it really. Before I ventured out into my dread journey, I did my research, and thankfully came across this site, which help me go naturally and stay away from the dread shops that I was intending on going to :/ lucky, I would have spent a few hundreds, anyway, im loving the natural process....

k I have a better idea ... take a picture of your plant and post it in a discussion....cus it could be something else...so yeah..post a discussion and there's tons of people who do use aloe from the plant so they'll be able to help you more than me :)

I believe what you can do is slice it in half like a fillet .. then scrape out the gel and strain it. But I've never don it so I would advice you to either find a discussion that tells how to do it or ask yourself :D
