Sweet, has not received any gifts yet

Hi Sweet, just read your post that said you use paper towel to suck the extra water out of your dreads. I use a micro fiber towel, just like a shamwow to suck the water out of mine. Reusable and eco friendly, and will never leave behind little pieces like paper towels might. You can find this type in auto sections of most department stores like WalMart etc. Peace

Ethon O'Brien said… wierd about the messages thing, ive never had any trouble with it. though often this site runs pretty slow, mainly cause i prefer to use google chrome and it works best with firefox. i have firefox but its so much slower in general than google so i dont use it. and im glad to seee you're gonna be getting those books. great tool to add on to lessons. i was actually pretty lucky to learn the way i did. before i ever got my books on it i learned from my father. im actually the third generation, i learned from my father who learned from his father. and no matter how, where, or how well you learned, bruce lee's books are a perfect addition to any style
Ethon O'Brien said… cool. hope your kids embrace the lifestyle and philosophy of it like i did and pursue that and other martial arts. it's best to learn from as many styles as you can. that book by the way is excellent. i have all of his books. the tao of jeet kune do is my favorite book of all time. not only does it have great training tips and techniques and so forth but incredible philosophy. best if used with his four part book series "bruce lee's fighting method". however i recommend the complete edition. has the four books all in one along with a bunch of extra stuff.
and as for the group ill definitely do my best to keep up. i dont get on the computer every day but i get on often enough to keep up with the group i think.
how old are your kids by the way?
Ethon O'Brien said… and yeah i saw that there were new members, there's been a bunch more, i thought it was awesome, ever since people (mainly you lol) started commentin more on it it's really taken off. real proud that i was able to start a group so many can relate to. and i think your idea for the "why we started dreading" group was a great idea. it'd be really interesting to read about. personally what i like so much about dreading is this. i study martial arts "mainly jeet kune do" and to me dreading is to hair as jeet kune do is to martial arts. as bruce lee himself called it "the style of no style". thats also what dreading is, you dont do anything to it, you dont worry about it looking a certain way, you just let it be. thats how i see it anyway.
Ethon O'Brien said… if you were asking how to change the color just go to members then to "customize my page" itll take you to your page and at the very top there'll be this thing that pops up with the colors and such and you change it from there
christina popejoy said… hey sweet I saw your post on the tea page about nettle tea.
I used to drink it every couple of weeks when I was working in a woodland on cold days. I drank it just on its own with just 4-5 leaves in boiling water. it has lots of natural antioxidants in it and I found gave relief for sore throats.
Here is a good link I have found to more of the health benefits and uses.

Ethon O'Brien said… by the way you should maybe consider changing the color of your writing on the page here, the green kinda blends into the forest background making it very hard to read haha
Ethon O'Brien said… haha yeah i started the tea heads group, i gave up coffee about a year ago before i ever started my dreads and i absolutely love tea. and i figured it kinda goes hand in hand with dreads considering i, and many others, use it for washing their dreads as well.
i appreciate you trying to get the group started, i was startin to wonder if i was the only one interested in a group like that haha
