- I combed my hair for the last time on April 27, 2009
- How long have you been dreading?
- Almost 13 months
- Dreading methods, maintenance, and products used (if you currently have dreads)
- I started my dreads with aloe vera & water, using the palm-rolling method and evil metal clippies.
I currently use:
NATURE’S LIFE ALOE VERA GEL (HERBAL BLEND) if I do a re-twist
KNOTTYBOY LOCKSTEADY TIGHTENING GEL only a little mixed with the Aloe Vera on some of my unlocked-locks & for a couple of marriages I’ve got going on right now.
DR. BRONNER’S LIQUID CASTILE SOAP
ACV RINSES
HOME MADE HERBAL TEA RINSES
I was palm-rolling and clipping my dreads after every almost weekly shampoo. I stopped clipping abound 10 months or so, was only using a few clips on the front and some unlocked dreads by then anyway. I didn’t palm-rolling or retwist the last two times I washed. I may palm-roll again in a month or so. I don’t know. I just want to let them grow and fatten up a bit.

im betting if u do nothing but seperate for a month or so you'll never want to mess with them again
i hope your african hair type with all that gel u used?
its best to just use straight pure aloe and only as a moisturizer/coinditioner as needed.
