- About Me
- I have lived a gypsy life so far. I have called Arizona, Boston, Colorado, New York City, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Florida home at one point or another. I have gone on tour with a major Rock Band (AC/DC) across the United States in the 80's and went to 40 different states doing traveling sales selling art prints. I took welding classes in Prescott, AZ and worked on sculpting different metals. I opened my own recycled clothing store on Madeira Beach, FL and after enjoying that for a bit I sold it to a friend who now runs it in Kansas. Different people in my life have led me to travel to Morocco, Spain, Quebec City-Quebec, and Mexico. My husband of 19 years and I hope to start living the gypsy life again after our Sons move on with their life. We did plenty of traveling with them around Arizona when they were younger which included living in a tent and working the swap meets. We lived our rooted life until the time came again to fly (which is now-read below)! My sons are 18 and 22 and both are very talented musicians. Shawnee (22) plays drums plus every other instrument and does film scoring which he studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston. My 18 year old son Kiowa plays piano and is self taught. He composes music and improvises. The first song on my profile is one of his older creations.
I just turned 50 on March 25th and our family is taking a leap of faith I guess you could say. My hubby of 20 years and our 18 year old son are sharing in the adventure. We are currently ready to embark on a traveling journey out west through Arizona, Colorado, California and Utah. We sold everything we owned except for photos and mementos, bought a 2002 pop-up camper and a 1995 Jeep Cherokee. We plan on finding land and building green, off-grid. Our take-off date from Boston, MA is 3/30/2012. We will sell jewelry, wood carvings, and play music for our food, etc. That's about it, not really, there's alot more but all for now ;)

- I used loose TnR myself one time and Natural the rest of the time with no products. I do not retwist, my hair spiral curls like this naturally and it looks like my dread babies are too. My hair is thick coarse and curly. I have wanted dreads for years. I figured I would do it before I turned 50 next year ;)

I swear by these! I am posting a link to show you, but you can generally find these even in drug stores. They help itch, massage and stimulate your scalp without messing up your dreads as long as you don't go crazy with it. ; ) Make sure the ends of the wires are smooth with no barbs as to not catch on your dreads. I checked them out in the store to make sure. They have heavy duty ones, which I don't recommend because the wires are thicker. The cheap small ones with thin wires are the best!…

I have watched them grow and despite their challenges achieve wonderful things...not only for themselves, but for me too. I know that regardless of how difficult it has been that I am a better person for having been their mom. I guess we never know what is possible...until it manifests before our very eyes. As much as there is ugliness and hatred in the world...it is created by man, so too is the beauty and joy...that man perpetuates :)
