Giving up shampoo

I'm just curious to know if giving up shampoo and other chemicals will have an effect on my rooting process or effect the growth of hair. It seems that my hair feels better when i don't use chemicals and my natural oils take over. I'm sitting here…Continue

- How long have you been dreading?
- Since January 7th, 2010
- Dreading methods, maintenance, and products used (if you currently have dreads)
- First My fiance sectioned off my hair in about 1 inch sections. Then put most of them up together with a hair thingy,"yes that is what my whole family calls them" and started to twist and rip my hair and tied off the really unmanageable spots and since then i have pulled all the string out and I'm doing it as natural as i can. Its about freedom for me and my hair will find its own way from now on. I also wash my hair with apple c. v. and baking s. Take It Easy
